The Plan

We get to do demonstrations to start off the class today.  Each team should now have the basic additional hardware as well as the assignment program loaded for boot run.  We also have an initial stab at some networking we can start using and testing.  Here are our goals:

  • Demonstrate all team's blinking LED
  • Demonstrate basic packet sniffer (IR network debug trace)
  • Plan initial networking demonstration for next week
  • Add any hardware deemed necessary for our project

Discussion

The discussion this week centers a bit around highly constrained programming which is common in embedded systems.  The Pleo will be demonstrated and we can briefly discuss the constraints imposed by external factors on the coding for this high-volume product.

We also need to come up with a simple demonstration of our network so we can start using it the following week and testing.
