| More Details: The ME-110 Unicoder is a non-contact encoder that utilizes a rare earth magnet carefully mounted above sensing circuitry. Multiple operation modes are available that can be selected including quadrature, sign-magnitude or BLDC motor commutation. The ME-110 is recommended to be used with low speed applications only.
Determining if the Unicoder will fit inside a hobby servo motor, one may have to open up the servo case to determine the shape and size of the potentiometer. Many models use a round potentiometer and will not work with the ME-110. Servo motors that have been verified with the sensor are:
Connections:
Dimensions: All dimensions are in inches and approximate.
Additional Information: The white housing may need to get flipped around for certain servo motor models. Remove the two Torx screws (T5 size), turn the housing 180 degrees and re-assemble. A 1.4mm flat blade jeweler's screwdriver can be used tighten and loosen the screws if a T5 Torx screw is not available. Additional application notes, schematics, and information can be found at Nubotics. |
