The HSR-5990 has a coreless motor and titanium alloy gears/ball bearings for smoother operation and significantly longer life than normal servos. It has a watertight design with an internal heat sink and programmable digital amplifier with Mosfet drive.

The servo weighs 68.0 gm (2.39 oz), has a 24 tooth spline and is compatible with Hitec accessories. It also supports the HMI protocol, allowing it to provide feedback on servo position. The grey wire is signal, the middle black is 6 V to 7.4 V power, and the outer black is ground.
