| More Details: The TPA81 is a thermopile array detecting infra-red in the 2um-22um range. It has eight thermopiles arranged in a row and can measure the absolute temperature of 8 adjacent points simultaneously. Measurements are in Celsius. It can detect a candle flame from up to 2 meters away. Other warm objects like people, a hot coffee mug, etc. can also be detected. The TPA81 module also has a servo output that can be used to pan the module and build up a thermal image. This sensor has an I2C interface. Use of this sensor requires a controller with I2C capability. Application notes, schematics, and tech support can be found at Robot Electronics. | ||||||||
