The Solarbotics GM8 motor contains a 143:1 gear reduction, providing a large amount of torque. Inside the housing, a built in clutch alleviates the possibility of burning out the motor during stall conditions. Built in mounting holes simplify the attachment of the motor.
The output shaft has two keyed sides providing a stronger connection for rotational loads.
