| More Details: The WW-01 WheelWatcher incremental encoder system attaches to the outside of a standard RC servo, and utilizes an adhesive-backed reflective codewheel, designed for standard injection-molded robot wheels, to determine wheel rotation rate and distance travelled. It produces standard ChA/ChB raw quadrature outputs, as well as decoded clock and direction signals. The clock signal produces 25 us pulses at each transition of ChA or ChB, providing a 4x increase in resolution - 128 clocks per servo rotation. The direction signal indicates the decoded direction of rotation. The WW-01 WheelWatcher encoder is designed to work with the plastic molded wheels that we sell. The kit can also be adapted to work with servo horns and other mechanisms by adding a CS-040-01 spacer. The WW-01 WheelWatcher encoder will NOT work with DC motors such as the GM8 series. If you are using gearhead motors, consider using a WW-02 WheelWatcher encoder kit. Wheels and servos sold separately. This kit is designed by Nubotics and distributed by Acroname Inc. See the Nubotics site for code examples and documentation pages. | |||||||||
