This package contains all the parts for making an infrared proximity detector. The IS471F modulates an IR LED and detects the modulated IR light reflected back from a nearby object. Once assembled, the sensor can detect an object from 2 to 3 inches away. (Performance will vary with the reflectivity of the object and the ambient lighting.)
