| At Acroname, we are trying to make robotics easier so people can focus on advancing the state-of-art of robotics and not spend as much time solving well understood problems. For us to move forward, we have established some standards to allow interaction between components designed by different people, companies, schools, or groups. This component or procedural approach can help re-use existing effort to further the field of robotics.
These standards are by no means random. Our experience over the years with countless robotics hobbyists, educators, and professionals has helped shape these standards. We will hope to stick with these in our designs, work and products and encourage others to benefit from these standards.
