| Overview Command line access can allow the ability to manipulate many settings of the Gumstix Verdex Pro. Connecting an Acroname serial adapter to the FFUART can get access to the computer. The FFUART is exposed on the Console-VX board in the Acroname Serial Standard orientation. Serial Communication Settings A serial communication program will need to be used to gain command line access. Many different programs exist and are often supplied in many standard operating systems. The appropriate serial communication settings need to be set up in a serial communication program. The factory default settings should be:
Connect to the Gumstix Verdex Pro's FFUART using a level shifting serial adapter. ![]() Connection orientation for the Acroname serial adapter to the FFUART. Once the Gumstix Verdex Pro has booted up, one will be greeted with a login prompt. Log in as user "root" with a password of "gumstix". OpenEmbedded Linux gumstix-custom-verdex ttyS0
