| Acroname Sponsored Competitions If you were able to make it to Acroname's 2001 Robotics Expo, then you've already seen or participated in some of Acroname's LEGO specific robotic competitions. The LEGO Line Following Competition and the LEGO Workshop and Acroname Obstacle Course were two of the competitions that have already become a standard at our expos. ![]() Acroname Line Following Mat The Acroname LEGO line following track isn't just a "walk in the park" as some contestants experienced. The track starts off easy and gets progressively harder as the tracks twists and turns and goes through grey "oil slicks". Aside from the tricky sections of the track, your robot needs to be able to complete the course (or get as far as possible)within the seven minute timeframe. ![]() Sample of the Acroname Obstacle Course The Acroname Obstacle Course is quite a bit harder than the Line Following Track. This course requires a robust LEGO robot that can handle a variety of challenges. ;At any given point in the course, your robot will have at least a black line, or a wall to follow. Your robot will also need to be powerful enough to make it up moderate to steep inclines and maybe even through a section of golf balls. If you participated in LEGO Workshop at our 2001 expo, you already know the challenges ahead of you.
