The "braindump" feature makes it easy to reinstall all the default configurations, programs, and settings for a Garcia robot. In the distribution for the Garcia API, there are a number of files named "garciaXX_Y.dump" where the XX_Y is a version number of the dump. The XX is the software release version number. The Y is a sub-version number for braindumps released between software builds. These BrainDump files can be selected for installation on the Garcia robots using the braindump feature in the Console or GarciaTool application.
For instance, if you wanted to install the braindump named garcia21_0.dump from the Console, you would enter:
The above example assumes you have the Console up and running and there is an active heartbeat between the robot and the console. The heartbeat is indicated by the blinking green LEDs on the front of the robot as well as the green blinking indicator in the Console.
The GarciaTool application has a GUI and dialog for selecting a braindump. See the GarciaTool section of the manual for details.
