The text string to display on an LCD screen.

Return Value:

This routine does not return a value.

Description:

This routine displays the text input string on an LCD screen.  The string can not be more than 7 characters.  Longer strings must be displayed with multiple subroutine calls.  The LCD must have an IIC interface.  The user must define a value called ALCD_ADDR before including the aLCDx.tea file.  This value is the IIC address of the LCD display.  The IIC baud rate may need to be lowered to achieve reliable communication with the LCD display.  See the cmdVAL_SET or aPortIICBaud documentation for details.

This function works with LCDs that expect a 0x00 byte before any printable characters, such as the DS-LCDD2 from Total Robots Ltd.
