The Packet:

Description:

This command retrieves a system parameter.  A parameter ID that is out of range will generate an error message.  The reply packet echoes the Parameter ID in the first data byte and contains the system value in the remaining byte(s).

All system parameters are one or two bytes in size.  Some parameters are read-only.  The table below lists the values associated with this command and their access modes and sizes.

* Newer stem modules report a 4-byte build number that is unified with the software builds.  Older ones report firmware independent 2-byte build numbers.

** This feature is only available in new BrainStem modules or BrainStem GP 1.0 modules with firmware Build 9 or higher.

*** This feature is only available in BrainStem module GP 2.0.
