Command Code:

The Packet:

Description:

Note:

This feature is only available on BrainStem GP 2.0 and Moto 1.0 modules.

This command executes a hardware reset.  The command restores the default system settings including the servo output settings.  See the details under the Hardware Reset (GP 2.0) and the Hardware Reset (Moto 1.0) section of the reference manual for a listing of the default system settings that get set during a hardware reset.  It will not alter any stored TEA or reflexes.  There is no reply packet.

ADDRH and ADDRL are BrainStem EEPROM address that should be at zero.  ADDRH must be a value of 0 and ADDRL must be a value of 0 for the reset to happen.  VALUE corresponds to the module address.  Values that are not possible will trigger the module to perform a hardware reset.  Recommended values for VALUE are odd numbers from 1 - 255.  Typically, the number 255 is used for VALUE.

In order to perform the reset, the cmdRESET will need to follow.  The heartbeat LED will flicker rapidly indicating a successful reset and power will have to be cycled.
