SP03 Pinout

The module has two headers, as shown in the diagram below.  PL1 is a 9-pin connector that provides both IIC and serial interfaces.  PL2 is an 8-pin connector that provides a parallel interface for use with controllers that do not support IIC or that don't have a free serial port.

Serial Connection

The following diagram shows how to set up a serial connection with the SP03.  You use the serial connection to work in Direct SP03 mode.

IIC Connection

Before working in brainstem mode , you need to configure an IIC connection between the BrainStem controller and the SP03 module.
