| Download Overview This guide gives you specific instructions for downloading software to your MacOS machine from the Acroname Download Center . From the Download Center, choose your target platform from the dropdown menu to narrow the list to software available for that platform. Select the file you would like to download. A screen displays that describes the file in more detail. Click the disk icon to open the license agreement. Read this carefully as this is legally binding. Then, click the link for the software you wish to download. The download is compressed as a TGZ archive and then contained in a Disk Image (DMG). The Downloaded Files In the OS X environment, you end up with three files on your desktop. The first is download.cgi. When Stuff-it expands this file, it adds a file named download.cgi.1 and a file with a .dmg extension. The .dmg file is the Disk Image file. Double-click the file name to expand the file with Disk Copy and provide the Disk Image with the BrainStem files. The following picture shows the downloaded files on the desktop. The hard-drive icon called BrainStem GP contains the GP software folder and a very detailed Read Me text file. The Read Me file explains where to put the files and how to add new software to any existing BrainStem distributions you may have. ![]() The downloaded files as seen in OS X.
